Updates on West Wood is a weekly blog desgined to keep the residents, and potential residents, of the West Wood neighborhood informed on the current state of the housing market and to post other news that is relavant to the neighborhood.
West Wood is a neighborhood of approximately 400 homes located on the Indianapolis Westside near the intersection of Girls Schools Road and 21st Street. The neighborhood was developed as two sections nearly 30 years ago.
Currently there are 13 homes on the market with one sale pending. The average price for these homes is just over $115,000 with the average days on market 107 days. Prices range from $155,000 for the most expensive home to $67,500 on the low.
One new home came on the market this week and one home under contract did close during the month of July.
Year to date, 12 homes have sold in West Wood compared to 8 homes as of August 8th of 2010. The truly encouraging news is that average closed sales price for 2011 to date in our neighborhood is $114,679 compared to $97,113 one year ago!
